Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Hands-on professional experience contributing to both frontend and backend web application components.
- Experience with React, Angular, or another modern JavaScript framework, along with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
- Experience developing backend applications or services using Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, Python/Django, or a comparable modern framework.
- Experience building, consuming, integrating, or troubleshooting REST APIs.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience debugging application behavior and investigating issues across frontend, backend, integration, or data layers.
- Experience with Git, peer code review, testing, and collaborative software development practices.
- Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum, SAFe, or similar methodologies.
- Availability for meetings and collaboration between 9 AM–5 PM EST.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain secure web applications across frontend and backend components.
- Build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces and application workflows.
- Develop and support application services, APIs, business logic, integrations, and data interactions.
- Contribute to application enhancements, modernization, migrations, integrations, and backend changes.
- Work with REST APIs, relational databases, and application data to support information flow across systems.
- Partner with Quality Engineering on testing, validating application behavior, debugging test-environment issues, and identifying problems.
- Investigate and help resolve issues across frontend, backend, API, integration, and data layers.
- Participate in peer reviews, testing, debugging, and collaborative development practices.
- Contribute to automated build, deployment, and CI/CD processes in cloud-based development environments.
- Apply secure development practices and support federal security, compliance, and accessibility requirements, including Section 508.
