Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years in a dedicated Solution Architecture or Software Architecture role.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; experience with GCP is particularly valuable.
- Proven experience designing and implementing reliable microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of API design and integration patterns, including REST and/or GraphQL and inter-service communication.
- Hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture, including patterns such as Event Sourcing and Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS).
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architectural concepts to developers, engineers, Product Managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build alignment across technical and business teams.
- A continuous-learning mindset and demonstrated interest in emerging technologies and evolving industry practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, architecture diagrams, data models, and actionable solution designs.
- Design end-to-end solution blueprints for new products, platform enhancements, integrations, and other technology initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, frameworks, cloud services, databases, and integration patterns based on business and technical requirements.
- Ensure proposed solutions comply with established enterprise architecture standards and the broader technology strategy.
- Clearly communicate architectural decisions, technical designs, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks throughout the solution design process.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA teams, and other cross-functional engineering stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Work with external partners and vendors on integration architecture and technical requirements.
- Promote modern architectural practices, including Microservices, Domain-Driven Design, and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by staying current with emerging technologies, architectural trends, and industry best practices.
