Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law, legal studies, compliance, finance, business, public policy, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal research, licensing, risk, audit, or financial-services operations.
  • Experience researching rules, maintaining regulatory calendars, preparing filings, or supporting examinations.
  • Ability to summarize complex requirements clearly and distinguish requirements from items needing legal review.
  • Strong organization, writing, documentation, and deadline-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with legal, compliance, or regulatory research systems.
  • Ability to work effectively across a remote, multinational organization.
  • Stable, reliable internet connection and professional remote working setup.
  • Ability to protect confidential and privileged information.

Responsibilities

  • Research federal and state requirements affecting lending, servicing, and corporate operations.
  • Monitor legal developments involving usury, licensing, and disclosures.
  • Prepare summaries of regulatory changes and track implementation actions to completion.
  • Coordinate licensing renewals, registrations, and regulatory filings.
  • Organize regulatory examination responses and maintain audit-ready records.
  • Review new products and processes for regulatory compliance and identify potential gaps.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Operations, and Finance teams to gather implementation evidence.
  • Prepare status reports and maintain standardized regulatory trackers and workflows.
