Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in the utility industry, engineering design, and/or project management.
- 0-2 years of supervisory experience.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical distribution assets and communication equipment construction.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Experience with data analysis and departmental financial reporting.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/schematics.
- Must have dependable transportation, a valid driver's license, and insurance.
- Willingness to travel overnight or for extended periods for fieldwork.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of team personnel to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Provide technical leadership for engineering design and construction functions within assigned projects.
- Manage team through engineering designs including pole replacements, communication space rearrangements, and joint-use design using NESC and local guidelines.
- Manage team productivity, ensuring project close-out and invoicing.
- Support client onboarding, contract negotiations, and relationship development.
- Develop customer proposals including technical scope, schedule, budget, and resource management.
- Interface directly with clients or contractors to ensure execution alignment.
- Conduct quality assurance on team deliverables and perform personnel evaluations.
