Requirements
- 4+ years of engineering experience across embedded systems and cloud.
- Strong embedded and firmware skills: C/C++, RTOS, microcontrollers, real-time systems, and low-level programming.
- Hands-on AWS experience including EC2, S3, Lambda, and IoT Core.
- Solid software engineering experience in Python for APIs and data streaming services.
- Good grasp of networking, security best practices, performance optimization, and system monitoring.
- Strong debugging skills across hardware, firmware, and cloud layers.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first, distributed environment.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Fluent English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain firmware for wearable sensing devices, focusing on sensor integration and real-time data acquisition.
- Build reliable communication and data streaming pipelines between devices and cloud services.
- Design and operate the AWS stack including EC2, S3, Lambda, and IoT Core for large-scale data processing.
- Develop APIs and ingestion services in Python for high-throughput, reliable data handling.
- Remotely deploy, monitor, and maintain the device fleet and capture setups at real-world collection sites.
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire technical chain from device firmware to cloud deployment.
- Collaborate with hardware, ML, and data teams to define requirements and improve infrastructure.
