Requirements
- Have proven hands-on experience in software development using Python.
- Have proven hands-on experience in distributed systems.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar degree.
- Be willing to travel up to four times a year for internal events.
Responsibilities
- Create data platform features and automate data platform operations.
- Write high-quality, idiomatic Python code.
- Support fault-tolerant replication, TLS, and installation.
- Debug issues and interact publicly with upstream communities.
- Collaborate with a distributed team to discuss ideas and find solutions.
- Provide domain-specific data system expertise to other teams within Canonical.
