Requirements
- 4+ years of database administration experience.
- Hands-on Oracle database administration experience.
- Proficiency with Oracle Database, Oracle RMAN, and Oracle Grid.
- Experience with PL/SQL.
- Expertise in backup and recovery, and database patching.
- Competency in performance tuning, monitoring and alerting, HA/DR, and database security.
- Experience with scripting and automation.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on technical teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle databases in production enterprise environments.
- Provision, configure, and maintain Oracle database environments.
- Execute database backup, recovery, and restoration activities, including Oracle RMAN.
- Support Oracle Grid and HA/DR environments.
- Plan and execute database maintenance and patching activities.
- Monitor database availability, capacity, performance, and system health.
- Troubleshoot database incidents and identify root causes.
- Perform database and SQL performance tuning using system metrics.
- Develop scripts and automation to improve routine DBA activities.
- Respond to ServiceNow incidents and change requests.
