Requirements
- 8+ years building production systems end-to-end (backend, frontend, integrations, infrastructure).
- Staff/Principal Engineer or Tech Lead experience owning technical decisions.
- Shipped SaaS products with OAuth2, multi-tenancy, audit trails, and enterprise compliance.
- Deep AI/ML experience: production systems using LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock) and agent frameworks.
- Production Python experience: FastAPI, Pydantic, httpx, pytest.
- Production TypeScript/React experience: Next.js App Router, Okta/NextAuth SSO, Playwright.
- Experience with AWS EKS operations, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Helm, and Secrets Manager.
- Understanding of enterprise security patterns including Zscaler proxies and Kubernetes networking.
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience (HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Active, daily use of AI engineering tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
- Strong communication skills for discovery sessions and translating technical trade-offs to executives.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build production AI automation systems from discovery to deployment.
- Design Python/FastAPI backends connecting to enterprise systems like HRIS, ERP, and CRM.
- Develop Next.js/React frontends with role-based access control and audit trails.
- Design and implement multi-agent systems, agent registries, and workflow orchestration.
- Run discovery sessions with department leaders to map workflows and translate technical requirements.
- Mentor 2-3 engineers through code reviews, pairing, and unblocking complex integrations.
- Partner with CISO on security, PII/PHI de-identification, and OAuth2 implementation.
