Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or community management.
- Proven ability to launch and grow a developer community from the ground up.
- Experience developing governance, moderation, engagement, and content programs.
- Familiarity with community platforms such as Slack, Discourse, or Reddit.
- Degree in computer science or equivalent software engineering experience.
- Familiarity with work management, automation, SaaS, or developer-focused platforms.
- Excellent written communication skills for technical and approachable audiences.
- Experience planning and executing content calendars.
- Strong ability to collaborate across product, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Data-informed approach to tracking community health metrics.
Responsibilities
- Build and grow the developer community, establishing its foundations, culture, governance, and engagement programs from the ground up.
- Act as the primary community voice by responding to questions, participating in discussions, and maintaining active engagement across relevant platforms.
- Moderate community channels, enforce guidelines, manage escalations, and foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Organize recurring office hours, AMAs, developer challenges, prompts, and hackathons to encourage participation and strengthen developer relationships.
- Develop and manage a content calendar, creating and coordinating educational and engagement-focused content with internal contributors.
- Identify opportunities for tutorials, technical guides, use cases, and other resources that make it easier for developers to learn and adopt the platform.
- Capture developer feedback, pain points, feature requests, and product needs, translating them into actionable insights for internal teams.
- Track and report community health metrics, including engagement, response times, sentiment, participation, and overall program performance.
