Requirements
- Strong professional experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of designing and building scalable applications and distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Go or a comparable backend programming language, with expertise in robust software architecture.
- Solid computer science fundamentals and demonstrated experience making architectural and technical design decisions.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and scalable backend systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities combined with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production incidents and confidently lead incident response as an incident commander.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, business, regulatory, and vendor stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently within a fully remote and globally distributed organization while remaining effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect technical decisions to broader business objectives.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable, reliable, and mission-critical brokerage systems supporting international markets.
- Develop and enhance middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC-based microservices, React interfaces for internal administration and API developers, and integrations with third-party vendors.
- Collaborate with core engineering teams to evolve foundational frameworks and enable support for multiple languages, currencies, markets, and regional requirements.
- Work closely with engineering leaders and technical teams across different regions through synchronous and asynchronous collaboration.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, software defects, and performance issues while maintaining system integrity and reliability.
- Serve as an engineering and operational reliability lead during regional business hours, including acting as incident commander when required.
- Contribute to proactive 24x7 system stability through monitoring, troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and operational best practices.
- Work with global teams, vendors, regulators, and internal stakeholders to develop scalable solutions that address international and regulatory requirements.
