Requirements
- 5–8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3–4 years in full-cycle accounting.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; CPA, ACCA, or MBA Finance also considered.
- Professional background from a Big 4 firm or a large multinational company.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
- Experience in a SaaS or technology company with familiarity with deferred revenue and subscription billing.
- Demonstrated experience with multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
- US tax compliance experience including 1099s and sales & use tax.
- UK VAT filing and reconciliation experience.
- SQL proficiency for data extraction and manipulation.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, dynamic arrays).
- Familiarity with automation tools like Zapier, Make, or Python scripting.
- Willingness to adopt AI productivity tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle accounting for all Termgrid legal entities from daily transactions through month-end close, consolidations, and annual financials.
- Execute journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure timely reporting packages.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and roll-up reporting across US and UK entities.
- Oversee the end-to-end AP workflow including vendor onboarding, invoice coding, payment processing, and internal expense management.
- Ensure compliance with US tax requirements (1099, sales & use tax) and UK VAT returns.
- Identify and implement automation across accounting workflows using tools like Zapier, Make, or scripting.
- Extract and analyze financial data using SQL and build dashboards for financial reporting.
- Track and report on SaaS-specific metrics such as MRR, ARR, churn, and deferred revenue.
