Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Maryland PMHNP license (Multi-state or compact licensure preferred)
- PMHNP-BC board certification
- Active DEA license
- Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program
- Experience with or strong interest in working with children, adolescents, and families
- Comfort working independently in a telehealth environment
- Afternoon, evening, and weekend availability
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and empathy
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop diagnostic formulations
- Create individualized treatment plans in partnership with patients and families
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications while monitoring effectiveness, safety, and clinical progress
- Provide brief supportive interventions and psychoeducation alongside medication management
- Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators through regular case consultation
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EHR
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and expected outcomes
