Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience developing applications with Java 17 or later.
- Strong experience with the Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and web services.
- Strong experience with microservices architectures.
- Strong experience with JPA/Hibernate and Maven.
- Strong SQL development and database integration skills.
- Experience working with Oracle or other relational database technologies.
- Experience using Git-based source control.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
- Support the sustainment, enhancement, and modernization of mission-critical applications.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software defects and production issues.
- Develop modern backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, Maven, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Decompose monolithic applications into appropriately designed microservices.
- Design scalable API-driven architectures that bridge legacy platforms with future-state solutions.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain quality, security, and engineering standards.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams to plan and deliver software enhancements.
