Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project controls, project accounting, financial analysis, or project management support.
- Experience supporting engineering, construction, utilities, infrastructure, or professional-services projects.
- Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP, project accounting, or financial reporting systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate project execution information into accurate financial forecasts.
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.
- Experience in electric utilities or Power Delivery infrastructure preferred.
- Familiarity with various contracting structures (time-and-materials, fixed-price, unit-rate) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain project financial baselines, budgets, labor-hour plans, and cost structures.
- Monitor actual labor hours and costs against budgets to identify trends and financial risks.
- Develop and maintain Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts.
- Consolidate project-level information into portfolio reporting, including margins, backlogs, and billing status.
- Coordinate with project managers and Finance to support accurate invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Track contract amendments, task orders, and subcontractor commitments.
- Support workload and resource forecasting based on project schedules and anticipated awards.
- Develop standardized project-controls procedures and reporting practices.
