Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent advanced degree.
- Current Pharmacist license in the state of Texas.
- Deep knowledge of specialty medication pharmacology.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Strong technical skills and experience with database and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to identify barriers to medication adherence and implement improvement plans.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 1+ years of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret clinician patient care notes for prior authorization approvals and care plan development.
- Develop and refine disease and drug-specific clinical protocols to maximize adherence and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor patient adherence using PDC reports, assessment data, and mobile platforms.
- Evaluate EMR data for drug interactions, labs, medication selection, and clinical outcomes.
- Recommend alternative therapeutic drug regimens and perform medication therapy management (MTM).
- Oversee pharmacy technician daily activities and verify accuracy of work.
- Ensure all activities comply with local, state, and federal pharmacy laws and HIPAA regulations.
