Requirements

  • BA/BS or JD/Masters degree.
  • ACAMS or ACFCS certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of sanctions compliance experience in a global financial institution.
  • Solid knowledge of banking, payment, or crypto compliance frameworks and controls.
  • Ability to work across functional and geographic lines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexibility to work with deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to act decisively.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as internal Subject Matter Expert for sanctions compliance, including risks, controls, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Global Head of Sanctions in providing actionable advice to stakeholders across Binance on managing sanctions-related risks.
  • Monitor the regulatory situation in the region and translate legal developments into potential policy adjustments.
  • Evaluate processes for identifying, documenting, and assessing sanctions risks associated with Binance activities.
  • Ensure entities and employees effectively investigate, mitigate, and remediate sanctions compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed sanctions compliance requirements and controls within the business.
