Requirements
- Substantial experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with production ownership.
- Expertise in ClickHouse in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency in dbt including incremental models, snapshots, tests, macros, and CI/CD.
- Python data engineering experience with EL tooling, S3, and CI-based orchestration.
- Experience with product event streams (e.g., PostHog, Amplitude, Segment, or Mixpanel).
- Proven track record of defining a business KPI end to end and defending it to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical rigor with experience handling cohorts, denominators, and sample sizes.
- Ability to work independently, make autonomous decisions, and effectively communicate with senior leadership.
- Located within CET +/-2.
Responsibilities
- Own the data platform end to end including ingestion, raw layer, ClickHouse warehouse, and dbt project.
- Ensure data reliability, correctness, and historical accuracy to support trustworthy metrics.
- Define and maintain critical business metrics such as customer health scores, including eligibility rules and limitations.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Product, and leadership to turn business requirements into durable metrics.
- Manage warehouse architecture, query costs, and data delivery to BI and CRM systems.
- Establish standards for data definitions and conventions as the Data function scales.
