Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Java programming.
- Deep knowledge of concurrency in Java, Java Memory Model, and concurrency models in other systems.
- Excellent Java SE knowledge including IO and JVM internals.
- Experience with SQL databases.
- Experience in troubleshooting Java applications or databases.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Deep SQL knowledge (MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Apache Ignite, or GridGain).
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts (Raft, MVCC, ACID).
- Understanding of MVCC, P2PL, Snapshot Isolation, and REPEATABLE READ.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of the database system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed environments.
- Profile, debug, and fine-tune performance with tools like JFR, JMC, async-profiler and VisualVM.
- Keep code clean and reviewable with Git.
- Develop and optimize data structures for high data-intensive scenarios.
- Implement data storage and network transmission strategies including failure handling.
- Implement and integrate algorithms for cluster high availability.
- Investigate and debug data consistency algorithms on multi-node clusters.
