Requirements
- Professional experience in backend software engineering with Kotlin or Java.
- Experience with frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring.
- Experience developing SaaS products, ideally within an Agile and cross-functional product environment.
- Ability to contribute to frontend, mobile, infrastructure, or other areas when required.
- Familiarity with AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong product mindset and ownership mentality focused on user problems and measurable outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Strong engineering judgment, curiosity, and adaptability.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Helm (plus).
- Experience with PostgreSQL and messaging systems such as RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka (plus).
- Experience with A/B testing, instrumentation, Grafana, or Mixpanel (plus).
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain reliable, scalable backend services and product features using Kotlin or Java and modern web frameworks.
- Take ownership of features from initial user problem discovery through development, rollout, and evaluation of their impact.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate ideas and user needs into high-quality shipped experiences.
- Contribute beyond the backend when needed, including web, mobile, infrastructure, and other parts of the product stack.
- Use AI coding assistants to navigate unfamiliar codebases, accelerate development, prototype solutions, and deliver well-structured changes outside your primary specialization.
- Explore user problems through prototypes, instrumentation, experimentation, and collaboration with product or customer-facing teams.
- Contribute to reliable deployment and infrastructure practices, including Kubernetes and messaging systems.
