Requirements
- Experience owning the dressing of environments in a previous game team producing a AA or AAA product.
- Ideally a First in fine art, computer animation, digital media design or relevant degree.
- Exceptional portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of ability and traditional drawing skills.
- Solid understanding of 2D/3D art packages such as Maya, 3ds Max, Substance, Photoshop, and ZBrush.
- Expert knowledge of Unity, including experience with multiple shipped games using this engine.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable time-management and organisational skills.
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiastic team player with a positive and outgoing personality.
- Genuine commitment to personal development.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Lead Environment Artist and coordinate with team leads on art objectives.
- Own the production of a track’s dressing, following the pipeline and delivery.
- Coach and mentor a prop artist while making a significant contribution to quality artwork.
- Influence the defining look and feel and communicate art style principles to the team.
- Lead by example, demonstrating clear expectations for quality.
- Proactively assist in defining art pipelines and best practices against industry benchmarks.
- Explore new techniques and technologies to achieve high-quality results.
