5+ years of experience building and validating models against real decisions.
Primary language proficiency in Python.
Solid engineering fundamentals: testing, code review, Git, containers, and version control.
Expertise in machine learning/deep learning, supervised/unsupervised methods, CNNs, and Transformers.
Hands-on experience with PyTorch, including training and custom modules.
Expert command of pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
Strong foundation in statistics and experimental design.
Experience with fine-tuning/adaptation of pretrained models.
Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and their respective AI services.
Active use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
Clear written and spoken English at C1 level or above.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.

Translate business decisions into measurable success criteria, baselines, and actionable improvements.
Develop supervised and unsupervised models using PyTorch, including deep learning techniques with CNNs and Transformers.
Fine-tune and adapt pretrained models using LoRA, QLoRA, or PEFT when appropriate.
Design and execute experiments including baseline comparisons, holdouts, and offline/online evaluation.
Perform rigorous error analysis to distinguish between data, label, method, and framing issues.
Package, document, and hand over models with clear performance metrics.
Work within client environments, including repositories, standups, and customer calls.
