Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Data Engineering role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, dbt, and Airflow.
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and Google Cloud Platform.
- Solid understanding of core software engineering principles (modular code design, testing, version control).
- Familiarity with Superset or other visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
- Strong critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize robust ETL/ELT workflows using SQL, Python, dbt, and Airflow.
- Create and refine efficient, scalable data models primarily within BigQuery.
- Cleanse, transform, and structure data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in coding and system design.
- Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Maintain clear documentation for data systems, pipelines, and schemas.
- Deploy datasets, reports, and dashboards to Superset.
- Practice software engineering excellence, including version control and testing.
- Conduct performance audits on pipelines and databases to implement optimizations.
