Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience consuming third-party APIs and SDKs independently.
- Proficiency with Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Expertise in REST/JSON, OAuth or API-key authentication, Postman, curl, and Git.
- Excellent technical research skills with the ability to distinguish primary evidence from marketing claims.
- Experience translating ambiguous business questions into structured evaluation criteria.
- Strong written communication skills for producing executive-level and engineer-ready technical documentation.
- Experience presenting technical findings to Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams.
- High agency and comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable availability for collaboration during U.S. Eastern time zone hours.
- Background in identity verification, KYC/KYB, fraud prevention, biometrics, or cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate identity-verification, authoritative-data, and biometric providers to meet product requirements.
- Perform hands-on API integration and testing using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Postman, or curl.
- Build lightweight prototypes and test harnesses to validate vendor capabilities and integration complexity.
- Research regional, regulatory, and privacy constraints related to identity verification across international markets.
- Maintain a structured research repository and provider scorecard to support product roadmap and decision-making.
- Develop automated research agents or monitoring workflows to track changes in vendor capabilities or government ID programs.
