Requirements
- 4+ years building, operating, and maintaining modern data pipelines.
- Expert-level experience with Apache Beam and Dataflow.
- Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services like BigQuery and Bigtable.
- Strong proficiency in Python, specifically FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with PySpark is considered a plus.
- Comfort with modern development tooling including linting and automated testing tools like Ruff and Pytest.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and resolve root causes of data anomalies.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale high-throughput streaming pipelines using Apache Beam and Dataflow.
- Optimize data flows into BigQuery and Bigtable for speed and reliability.
- Develop and maintain Python-based data APIs (FastAPI) for internal services.
- Investigate complex data anomalies to find and solve root causes.
- Partner with ML and product teams to build practical, usable data schemas.
- Maintain production code quality using Poetry, Ruff, and pytest.
