Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience in information security operations and/or security engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 security products: Defender for Endpoint, Purview, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Proficiency with enterprise operating systems (Windows and Linux), TCP/IP networking, and virtualization.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting.
- Working knowledge of vulnerability scanning, log management, and firewalls.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain an information security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or GSEC) within the first six months.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts and incidents across the security stack.
- Coordinate response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
- Engineer, implement, and maintain security technologies such as SIEM, detection rules, and automation.
- Manage security engineering projects end-to-end, from scoping through implementation and handoff.
- Partner with IT colleagues on governance, policy maintenance, control reviews, and audit evidence collection.
- Advise business units on cyber risk and provide guidance on security best practices.
- Develop security automation capabilities and AI-assisted tools.
