Requirements
- 12+ years of experience, or an advanced degree plus 8 years, in security engineering, posture monitoring, or compliance automation.
- 2+ years of experience in engineering or security engineering management.
- Proficiency in Python and experience reading/critiquing automation code.
- Solid understanding of security controls, including IAM, configuration management, logging, vulnerability management, and data protection.
- Solid cloud security knowledge across AWS, Azure, or GCP (IAM, audit logging, CSPM).
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
- Experience building security posture monitoring or compliance automation at scale.
- Ability to evaluate integration architectures and monitoring approaches.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with technical, GRC, and executive audiences.
- Experience defining and achieving OKRs and KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Continuous Monitoring team by hiring strong security software engineers.
- Develop and execute the roadmap for continuous security posture assessment, control state collection, and GRC integration.
- Define program metrics for control coverage, drift, and remediation, presenting findings to senior leadership.
- Build partnerships across GRC, IT, Legal, and Engineering to align control monitoring with organizational policy and audit standards.
- Lead build-vs.-buy evaluations for CSPM, SSPM, and GRC automation tools.
- Set high standards for engineering quality, including code reviews, pipeline reliability, and documentation.
