Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience building scalable, distributed backend systems
- Strong proficiency in Java and the JVM
- Experience working in an early-stage startup environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience
- Solid understanding of coding practices including writing technical specifications
- Experience with peer code review and testing methodologies (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- Familiarity with Agile development processes
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and empathy towards team members
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEO and CTO to define and build the platform
- Architect and develop core components of the product
- Contribute to building the company culture and engineering standards
- Write technical specifications for system components
- Participate in peer code reviews and maintain testing practices
- Implement continuous integration and deployment automation
