Requirements
- At least three years of experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain roles covering RFQs and order management.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation and total-cost analysis, including multi-currency and freight considerations.
- Working knowledge of Incoterms, international import/export documentation, and customs coordination.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Experience with ERP, procurement, or order-management systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Business Central, or Xero).
- Exceptional written and spoken English for professional communication with international stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently across time zones in a remote environment.
- Certificate, diploma, or degree in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
- Experience with UK/European suppliers or mechanical/industrial products is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end operational buying cycle from request clarification through to transaction close-out.
- Identify and onboard suitable suppliers across the UK and Europe while prioritizing approved vendors.
- Issue RFQs and conduct like-for-like quotation comparisons based on total landed cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial conditions within delegated authority levels.
- Prepare accurate purchase orders and track order fulfillment through delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers and freight providers to resolve discrepancies, shortages, or quality issues.
- Maintain audit trails and data accuracy within systems like Microsoft Dynamics or Xero.
- Escalate commercial, compliance, and supply chain risks to management promptly.
