Requirements
- Experience working in a frontier AI lab.
- 3+ years of research or industry experience, or currently a final-year PhD/postdoc.
- Demonstrated history of shipping ML/NLP systems to production environments.
- BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in production-level Python, PyTorch, and the Transformers ecosystem.
- Experience with LLM evaluation, training, or prompt engineering.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical uncertainty and experimental outcomes in writing.
- Willingness to attend in-person offsites multiple times per year.
Responsibilities
- Build the pipeline to convert clinical standards into executable modules through parsing, transformation, and validation.
- Design the target syntax for representing guideline logic, including exclusions, precedence, and recommendations.
- Conduct experiments comparing open vs. closed models, fine-tuning, and constrained decoding.
- Co-design benchmarks including datasets, metrics, and error analysis for clinical fidelity.
- Build adversarial cases that measure source fidelity, logical completeness, and recommendation correctness.
- Develop deterministic validators using static analysis, constraint solving, or formal methods to identify ambiguity and contradiction.
- Analyze model failures to formulate hypotheses and system improvements.
- Collaborate directly with founders and clinicians to validate system outputs.
