Requirements
- BS, Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent degree or experience
- 5+ years of professional programming
- 2+ years of JavaScript experience focused on back-end web development with Node.js, GraphQL and REST APIs
- 3+ years experience with AWS Services or equivalent (Azure, Google) including Lambda, AppSync, EventBridge, Amplify, API Gateway, SQS, Cognito, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation
- 3+ years experience working with relational/NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL and DynamoDB)
- 3+ years experience with cloud deployments and CI tools (AWS, GitHub Actions, Serverless Framework, or Terraform)
- Expertise in writing well tested JavaScript (Jest)
- Demonstrated experience building ETL and API integrations (including OAuth authentication) and data sync automation
- Comfort working in a monorepo of shared packages (Lerna and Yarn workspaces)
- Working knowledge of client-side web frameworks (e.g. React, Angular)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Mortgage or Finance industry experience and knowledge a plus
Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable, and well tested code as part of a small Scrum team
- Build and operate reliable, idempotent integrations between systems of record
- Strong sense of ownership over the team’s software domain
- Respond quickly to production issues and reacting with additional logging, alerting, and diagnostics
- Get up to speed quickly with an existing codebase and ask questions early
- Communicate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, confirm data expectations, and raise challenges early
- Aid in maintaining and improving best practices on your team, including detailed PR reviews, manual and automated testing, deployment, etc.
