Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Significant experience in designing and operating distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Scala, or similar languages.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts such as consensus, replication, and CAP trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with high-throughput message systems like Kafka.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with relational and NoSQL data stores.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven track record of system debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms in production.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and mentorship skills.
Responsibilities
- Architect core platforms used by engineering teams to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Design and operate large-scale, high-throughput backend services for mission-critical workloads.
- Perform capacity planning and system performance tuning for large-scale production systems.
- Navigate trade-offs between consistency, availability, and latency in distributed environments.
- Lead complex technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Apply deep engineering practices to improve system performance and maintainability.
