Requirements
- 15+ years of experience building B2B SaaS platforms at scale.
- Proven experience evolving legacy production systems into microservices.
- Deep knowledge of API-driven services and multi-tenant architectures.
- Experience with B2B integration patterns handling millions of users.
- Solid foundation in modern deployment practices including CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
- Technical comfort and versatility across technology stacks including Ruby on Rails, Golang, and Java.
- Track record of mentoring teams and providing technical leadership without micromanaging.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on balancing scale, performance, and technical debt.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural evolution of the Coupa Supplier Platform to handle increased traffic and functional requirements.
- Define and implement patterns for API design, microservice boundaries, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and system reliability.
- Mentor engineers, guide architectural decisions, and review code to build high-performing teams.
- Participate in the Architectural Steering Group to share and import best practices across the organization.
- Partner with SRE to enhance cloud-native infrastructure, including CI/CD, containerization, and multi-cloud capabilities.
- Oversee security, multi-tenancy isolation, data governance, and compliance across all regions.
- Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to develop scalable supplier workflow systems.
