Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or a business-related field.
- 3+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet (Excel), and presentation tools.
- Attained or working towards actuarial credentials such as ASA, EA, or FSA.
- Experience identifying and validating pension plan data.
- Experience performing pension plan calculations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze financial reports and statistical data.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required government facility access authorization.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
- Support SFA implementation, reporting, and monitoring for multiemployer pension plans.
- Review SFA application information, actuarial reports, and cash flow projections for completeness and accuracy.
- Analyze actuarial assumptions and identify proposed changes for compliance with reasonableness standards.
- Develop and document standard procedures and provide training to client staff.
- Lead pod teams of professionals while adhering to firm and client guidelines.
- Generate charts, prepare summaries, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Participate in the development of proposal content and new business initiatives.
- Provide coaching to junior staff and manage personal professional growth.
