Requirements
- 10 or more years of product design experience.
- Meaningful experience leading, hiring, and developing designers.
- Portfolio showcasing exceptional craft and leadership impact across complex, data-dense products.
- Experience designing for high-stakes products such as trading, fintech, crypto, or marketplaces.
- Fluency in DeFi concepts including swaps, order books, slippage, leverage, and liquidation.
- Strong product judgment and a record of shaping strategy and prioritization.
- Skill in interaction design, information architecture, visual design, prototyping, and systems thinking.
- Experience building design systems and operating practices that improve consistency.
- Ability to work through ambiguity in fast-moving, regulated, or technical environments.
Responsibilities
- Set the design vision, principles, and priorities in partnership with product, engineering, and business leadership.
- Own the end-to-end experience across DeepBook spot, margin, prediction products, liquidity workflows, and related first-party applications.
- Lead the design of core journeys including onboarding, funding, market discovery, order entry, transaction review, portfolio management, and risk communication.
- Build a scalable design system and shared interaction patterns for dense financial data, charts, and account states.
- Establish a practical research program using interviews, usability studies, and product analytics.
- Partner with engineering to understand protocol behavior, latency, and platform constraints.
- Define design and product quality measures, connecting team efforts to trading success and user trust.
