Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data roles primarily using SQL.
- Experience building and maintaining data models with dbt or equivalent code-based, version-controlled workflows.
- Ability to review and understand code written by others, including Python.
- Experience tracing data lineages from source systems through transformation into business answers.
- Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail for result validation.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Must be able to work Central European hours.
- Daily, hands-on experience using AI coding/assistant tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor).
- Clear and direct communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity and ability to quickly learn unfamiliar systems and tools.
Responsibilities
- Clarify, assess, investigate, and validate data requests from end to end.
- Build and maintain production dbt models for billing, subscriptions, customers, and SaaS metrics.
- Manage Metabase dashboards, reusable questions, and recurring reports.
- Monitor data quality, reconcile figures, and trace discrepancies through the pipeline.
- Maintain Airbyte source integrations and onboard data from acquired companies.
- Process and analyze unfamiliar billing and customer datasets for acquisition due diligence.
- Utilize AI tools for implementation, investigation, and documentation with rigorous validation.
- Challenge existing model assumptions and maintain documentation on definitions and workflows.
