Requirements
- Qualified to practise in an APAC jurisdiction.
- Proven expertise supporting commercial transactions, particularly enterprise-level SaaS agreements.
- Demonstrated comfort operating across multiple APAC jurisdictions and legal traditions.
- Strong commercial drafting skills with the ability to craft clear, precise, and enforceable agreements.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to lead live negotiations directly with counterparties.
- Experience with enterprise deals conducted on customer paper and formal RFx processes.
- Proficiency in English for negotiations and internal collaboration.
- Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and maintain responsiveness.
- Strong capacity to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort working alongside automated triage and legal tooling.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary legal advisor to our APAC sales teams, providing timely and practical legal support on Terms of Service negotiation, contract redlining, and commercial agreement reviews.
- Lead live negotiations with customers and their counsel on strategic and enterprise deals.
- Serve as the Legal Primary DRI for APAC under Remote's Legal Matter Framework.
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to structure and review commercial agreements.
- Develop and improve templates, playbooks, processes, and knowledge resources around commercial transactions.
- Provide legal training and guidance to internal stakeholders to empower them to navigate commercial issues.
- Coordinate with local counsel when jurisdiction-specific advice is required.
