Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building scalable, high-volume, low-latency backend services.
- 3+ years of experience building streaming pipelines capable of handling petabytes of data.
- Eagerness to learn and become proficient in Python, NodeJS, TypeScript, Rust, C++, and AWS tools.
- Experience with AWS services such as CDK, ECS, Fargate, Step Functions, Lambda, and S3.
- Knowledge of global data security standards.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like GitHub.
- Strong communication and outcome-oriented mindset.
- Experience performing development tasks independently based on designs.
- Empirical analytical approach with ability to conduct spikes and communicate findings.
- High-quality mindset including unit testing and proactive defect remediation.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mission-critical services and high-throughput streaming data pipelines.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and scope tasks.
- Promote operational excellence through testing, monitoring, documentation, and on-call support.
- Reduce technical debt and optimize application performance.
- Engage in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system availability.
- Partner with Engineering Leaders to execute the Telemetry team vision.
