Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting, tax, or a closely related accounting environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or active progress toward CPA licensure is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
- Demonstrated experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with limited supervision.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when interacting with clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements, supporting schedules, and related accounting documentation.
- Record, review, and analyze adjusting journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare individual and business tax returns in accordance with applicable U.S. tax requirements.
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or unusual financial activity.
- Analyze financial information and provide accurate accounting support as needed.
- Support monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and complete financial reporting.
- Communicate directly with clients to address accounting and tax-related questions and requests.
- Manage assigned responsibilities independently while maintaining accuracy, organization, and adherence to deadlines.
