Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience building highly performant web applications.
- Strong full-stack engineering background with frontend and/or backend depth.
- Experience with technologies such as React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, and Go.
- Strong experience using test-driven development practices.
- Experience collaborating with Product and Design teams to implement end-to-end product experiences.
- Experience working with relational databases and key-value data stores.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, benchmark, and optimize web application performance.
- Experience leading large-scale modernization initiatives and transforming legacy systems.
- Strong architectural thinking to design scalable APIs and backend systems.
- Ability to break down complex technical problems and simplify systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for technical guidance.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide pragmatic technical guidance to promote engineering excellence and developer experience.
- Develop actionable technical plans to support the product development lifecycle.
- Architect scalable web APIs, component libraries, and backend systems aligned with long-term roadmaps.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders to resolve cross-functional technical challenges.
- Contribute as an individual contributor to critical engineering projects.
- Advise teams on technical debt and modernization of legacy systems.
- Identify system bottlenecks and performance constraints to develop practical solutions.
- Conduct rigorous code and technical specification reviews to maintain quality standards.
- Mentor engineers and promote software development best practices.
