Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in SRE, production operations, and cloud platform engineering.
- Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and operating AWS-based solutions.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams translating requirements into technical outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of AWS administration, integration, and cloud lifecycle management.
- Ability to design secure, supportable solutions with a focus on reducing technical debt.
- Experience with APIs, identity access controls, data management, and release coordination.
- Excellent technical documentation and communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Preferred: Experience with DevSecOps, NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP frameworks.
- Preferred: Experience with Section 508, observability, and platform governance.
- Preferred: AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Professional, Security Specialty, or Kubernetes certifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and sustain AWS cloud capabilities including EKS, ECS, Terraform, and Packer.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and security automation to enhance delivery efficiency.
- Translate business, mission, and federal security requirements into secure, maintainable technical solutions.
- Support platform architecture, release readiness, and production transition across integration services.
- Develop reusable engineering patterns and documentation to reduce technical debt and delivery risk.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across platform configurations, APIs, identity access, and performance.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, QA, and federal stakeholders to align with security and accessibility expectations.
