Requirements
- Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Criminology, or a related field of study.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.
- Prior exposure to SQL or BI tools is highly advantageous.
- 1–2 years of relevant professional or internship experience is preferred.
- Proven aptitude for data analysis or investigative work.
- Sharp eye for detail and ability to synthesize patterns and identify anomalies within complex datasets.
- Strong critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct deep-dive investigations into customer accounts and transactions, synthesizing complex evidence to drive high-integrity case decisions.
- Leverage data mining across transaction and behavioral datasets to proactively identify fraud trends and emerging risk vectors.
- Maintain vigilance over fraud dashboards and real-time alerts to mitigate financial losses and outpace sophisticated bad actors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Payments, Customer Support, and Product to execute high-impact fraud and chargeback initiatives.
- Drive special projects focused on scaling our travel fraud playbooks, internal tooling, and comprehensive reporting frameworks.
