Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
- Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Good understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Excellent English communication skills (CEFR C1 or above).
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
- Nice to have: Experience with data processing using Python and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
- Nice to have: Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Google BigQuery).
- Nice to have: Experience with CI/CD, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Nice to have: Experience in the e-commerce sector.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of data-driven backend features that power personalised navigation, product discovery, and user experiences.
- Develop features such as chatbots, personalised search filters, and other data-driven capabilities.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve APIs and backend services.
- Contribute to backend architecture and technical decision-making, collaborating with the team.
- Support full-stack development when needed, including smaller frontend and infrastructure tasks.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and actively participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate closely with the wider team in an Agile/Scrum environment using tools such as Jira.
