Requirements
- 4+ years building and operating production backend systems at scale.
- Strong fundamentals in data modeling (SQL and NoSQL).
- Strong API design and distributed systems expertise.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js or Go in production.
- Proven track record of owning services end-to-end from design to on-call.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
- Solid understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability trade-offs.
- Preferred: Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
- Preferred: Familiarity with event streaming (Kafka/Redis Streams) and async processing.
- Preferred: Experience with database scaling (MongoDB, Postgres, ElasticSearch, or ClickHouse).
- Preferred: Experience shipping features backed by LLM or AI APIs.
- Preferred: Frontend fluency in Vue.js.
Responsibilities
- Translate business and customer needs into scalable, production-grade services.
- Design and evolve data models for pipelines, deals, and associated entities.
- Build and scale APIs, event-driven workflows, and background jobs.
- Tackle distributed systems challenges like idempotency, consistency, and race conditions.
- Optimize large-scale performance through indexing, sharding, and caching.
- Develop AI-assisted features by managing context assembly, latency, and costs.
- Perform end-to-end development including UI changes when necessary.
- Instrument systems with logs, metrics, and traces for production visibility.
- Manage incident response, postmortems, and engineering hygiene.
