Requirements
- 2+ years of backend engineering experience with strong fundamentals in Node.js, Go, or a comparable language.
- Working knowledge of queues or async processing (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Genuine interest in distributed systems, including idempotency, retries, and consistency trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with Redis or another cache/in-memory store.
- Proficiency in SQL or NoSQL database modeling, querying, and indexing.
- Proficiency in Vue 3 or a similar modern frontend framework with experience in state management (Pinia, Vuex, etc.).
- Habit of writing tests and ability to document design thinking clearly.
- Experience coding with AI agents to produce accurate, production-quality output.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship features in Node.js / Go services that sit on production paths.
- Own well-scoped services and components end to end, including code, tests, rollout, and monitoring.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL data stores, writing queries, adding indexes, and managing schema design.
- Get hands-on with queues, caches, and rate limiters.
- Ship Vue 3 UIs that consume internal APIs with clean components and state management.
- Write and defend design docs for features.
- Join the on-call rotation with backup from senior engineers.
