Requirements
- Solid experience as a Data Engineer or Data Developer, ideally in a senior role.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, views, SQL Agent Jobs).
- Hands-on experience with SSIS (packages, control/data flows).
- Experience with Databricks or Apache Spark platforms (Spark SQL, PySpark, Delta Lake).
- Proficiency in Python for data pipelines, scripting, and automation.
- Familiarity with Azure (ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Key Vault, IAM).
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Practical experience using coding agents for real-world development tasks.
- Fluency in Portuguese and ability to read/interact technically in English.
- Experience with data migration or modernization projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legacy workloads including SSIS packages, stored procedures, and PySpark/Sqoop pipelines.
- Implement and validate migrations of T-SQL to Databricks SQL or PySpark.
- Utilize coding agents like Claude Code or Codex to assist in analysis, implementation, refactoring, and testing.
- Contribute to the migration harness by improving automation, context-setting, and quality gates.
- Execute data parity validations between legacy and modernized environments using schema comparisons and unit tests.
- Document technical decisions, dependencies, and validation results.
