Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Active, unrestricted multistate Registered Nurse license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Willingness to obtain additional individual state licenses as required.
- Experience with protocol-driven or standing-order work.
- Proven reliability in high-volume, detail-critical work.
- Ability to review and synthesize patient records and validate lab history.
- Working knowledge of common lab panels including lipid panels, HbA1c, eGFR, and uACR.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) and order entry.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation for compliance and billing.
- Ability to adapt and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Review patient charts to identify missing baseline tests and verify clinical indications, diagnosis codes, and elapsed time.
- Release standing lab orders in the EHR while documenting medical necessity and ordering intent.
- Manage high-volume daily order queues with speed and accuracy to meet turnaround targets.
- Act as a subject matter expert on lab ordering processes to support the interdisciplinary care team.
- Proactively identify friction and automation opportunities to optimize initial operations.
- Partner with key stakeholders to resolve clinical blockers and drive operational improvements.
