Requirements

- University degree or equivalent professional experience in the translation field.
- Proven experience in at least one of the following: localization QC, audiovisual translation, or subtitling.
- Deep understanding of the nuances involved in subtitle and dub translations.
- Working knowledge of cultural differences and best practices for audio-visual content.
- Understanding of closed captioning technical challenges and common failures.
- Confidence and experience with subtitle editing software and web/cloud technology.
- Ability to quickly adapt to workflow and process changes.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Translate content from English to German for various media including film, TV, and video games.
- Perform linguistic quality assurance (QC) on subtitle and dub projects.
- Adapt subtitles to account for cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions.
- Ensure technical compliance with closed captioning and subtitling specifications.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail across various project types.
