Requirements

  • 8+ years of related work experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or accounting.
  • Proven experience building sophisticated financial models from scratch.
  • Experience working with Adaptive Insights or other cloud-based financial planning software.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and data visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience turning ambiguous problems into structured analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Tech-savvy approach and comfort embracing new financial systems and tools.
  • Commitment to racial and economic equity in education.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a 3-statement financial model for budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, scenario analysis, and net asset impacts.
  • Independently develop ROI analyses and cost-benefit frameworks to shape prioritization and measure initiative outcomes.
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate deal economics, optimize margins, and influence business growth.
  • Lead core FP&A processes, including annual budgeting, recurring forecasts, month-end reporting, and Board presentation preparation.
  • Automate FP&A processes and systems using modern tooling, including AI-enabled solutions.
  • Support the establishment of a centralized procurement and spend management function.
  • Execute mission-critical initiatives such as updated pricing strategies to optimize margins.
