Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of related experience.
- 6 years of direct experience in budget development, preferably in a clinical trial or medical setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for budget and billing grid development.
- Experience using Clinical Trial Management Systems (e.g., Velos).
- Understanding of clinical study protocols and cost analysis integration.
- Ability to manage large-volume workflows across multiple research programs.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal finance, regulatory, and contract teams.
- Ability to perform coverage determinations and monitor billing compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate budgets for sponsored clinical trials.
- Perform itemized cost analysis and interpret clinical protocols into budget milestones.
- Update budget, milestones, and ICF information per contract and protocol amendments.
- Collaborate with contract analysts, regulatory teams, and program managers.
- Conduct coverage determinations and communicate billing structures to clinical teams.
- Monitor compliance of clinical expenses to predetermined budgets and billing plans.
- Establish study payment milestones and billing grids using Excel and Velos.
- Provide cost analysis support for investigator-initiated trials.
