Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a comparable hands-on finance role.
- Strong management accounting skills including month-end review, accruals, and revenue recognition.
- Experience in a growing SaaS, technology, or recurring-revenue business.
- Ability to build and maintain cash-flow forecasts, budgets, and scenario models.
- Experience managing outsourced bookkeeping or accounting partners.
- Solid understanding of SaaS metrics such as ARR, bookings, and cash runway.
- Strong spreadsheet modeling skills with an emphasis on clarity and maintainability.
- Experience improving finance systems, controls, and processes.
- Ability to clearly communicate financial data to senior leadership and boards.
Responsibilities
- Review and update finance systems, models, controls, and processes to support company scaling.
- Manage the month-end timetable and coordinate with the outsourced finance partner.
- Perform detailed review of monthly management accounts, including revenue recognition and accruals.
- Maintain rolling cash-flow forecasts and lead the annual budget and re-forecasting process.
- Model financial impacts of hiring, investment, and customer contract changes.
- Prepare financial board packs and provide clear analysis of performance, cash runway, and SaaS metrics.
- Oversee sales commission calculations and ensure accurate, timely payments.
